Because now the may say “we listened to the people”, when all the while they had NO intention of shortening the break!!!! Me thinks, they think, we are stupid!!!!!

It's a strange way to operate. Why don't they just talk to the fans in the first place? We could give them a good idea about how those at the grassroots will react.

Media cycle. Seems pretty obvious. Similar to the twilight granny or moving it interstate every single year.

I know how the media works; it’s just strange that they’d continually leak unpopular ideas just to get media attention when a lot of the coverage is negative.

Was wondering the same thing. It seems they throw these pointless ideas up to somehow justify people's roles.
