Your weekly reminder that people are sometimes born with no legs, and quite often with six fingers or toes. These genetic deviations from the norm do not mean that human leg or finger numbers are a spectrum.

Definitely people out there living "without brains" Why else would anybody believe - or pretend to believe - that people are born in the "wrong" body?

Norm has a very clear statistical meaning. There is only one existing breed of human. The others died out hundreds of thousands of years ago - Denisovian, Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal & a few more that are just being discovered 🙂But human is a 'breed' of primate.

By the *exact* same argument, height isn't on a spectrum either. Your logic is therefore faulty.

It's not the same argument at all ... ! Human height falls within a normal RANGE. Deviations from the norm are 'abnormally tall' and 'abnormally short'. It's the opposite case to limb/digit numbers - where there is only one normal result - and sex, which has two normal results.

Oh God! The Finger Number Spectrum. 🤔 That actually sounds like a scary sci-fi made for TV movie from about 1968. 🤣 Also we can be glad that @twinnywinnies are all over a slightly different number issue.
