Assuming this cryptic message translates into: Products clearly marked "Free of growth Hormones, Antibiotics and Fed with non GMO".

If you want to pay over the odds for the nebulous benefits of 'organic', knock yourself out. I'd quite like a choice, if that's OK with you.
-
I am OK with that, as long as you leave me with a choice, by marking products clearly, with what I am paying for.

Have you looked at any food packaging recently? The only thing missing is the family tree of the animal contents.

The CAP is the most extravagantly generous agricultural system of subsidies anywhere in the world and it makes British agriculture sustainable. No matter what trade deals they strike or govt. subsidies given the drop in income will be fatal for many and impoverish many more.
-
Hi to be frank, I agree it's pretty generous, though not the worst (Japan, Norway, Switzerland). If there was a drop in subsidy, landowners would be hit hardest. The savings could be much better spent elsewhere, the impoverished being one great example.
-
CAP is the cornerstone of French participation in the EU from the start. As the Franco/German axis increases it's grip the CAP will remain. I would question that it would be better spent but I agree it could be. The huge environmental incentives attached to CAP will also be lost.
-
Interesting. I agree on spending. On the environmental incentives - they look huge because a third of payments are for 'greening' but that's just cosmetic - greening didn't materially change green behaviour when introduced
