Here we go again. Why is our government unable to plan, especially when it’s critical stuff that will affect our country for generations? But then they haven’t as yet managed to agree our trading relationship with the EU, so I suppose this one is just going to join the queue.

I don't get this. Isn't everyone, whether in the West or in Asia, trying to find the same balance as the UK, i.e. cooperate economically with China and at the same time hedge against it in security terms?
