Are you aware of how many years trade agreements take to put together? Are you also aware that volume of trade typically decreases with geographical distance? You’re proposing ditching trade agreements with our closest neighbours in the hope of maybe trading with SA? For real?
There are rich pickings in getting free trade agreements in Latin America once the UK leaves the EU. To date, the volume of UK trade with Latin America has been puny, we want more, we are ambitious
