I wish this had been under Chatham House Rules so I'd never witnessed such fatuous idiocy from a man who should know better.

"the Brexit vote represented a feeling thats not specifically or exclusively British" Hang on, surely it *is* purely a British preoccupation? The EU is not moaning about FoM (revised posted workers directive already reformed), it's moaning about African/Middle East migration.

Bluffing is clumsy and irresponsible in diplomacy. Britain could have sparked reforms in the EU had it stayed. Instead, Cameron bluffed by calling the referendum way sooner than necessary. Tony Blair has a point. But it’s up to Britain to get its act together.

@campbellclaret@mrjamesob@BBCNews@DouglasKMurray@JunckerEU@Jacob_Rees_Mogg I may not agree with him always but this is the most sense I have heard spoken on Brexit for quite some time! But I suspect the EU would not entertain such a thingThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
