He’s not asking genuine questions. He’s bullying her. Making fun of her. Being mean. Using her addiction/mental health struggles as comedic fodder while she is clearly very uncomfortable. And he just keeps pressing despite her http://discomfort.No boundaries. It’s dehumanizing
