Security panic is a comfortable rut to be stuck in–for big media, for conservative pols (like HRC), for a lot of stern but useless dads too.
@Ethnography911 True, not new… but it seems to me there was a lull btw '89-'01. Simmering, yes, but not boiling over like past 14 years.

@ChMadar yes, for sure. recently read account of JFK's meeting w Nehru + visit to Ireland + decolonization. Somewhat ironic. -

@ChMadar but he also chose to underscore with Nehru the possibility for empathy for anti-colonial struggles owing to his irish heritage.
