@ChMadar Legitimate to debate the strength of pre-WW2 isolationist strand. To deny it existed & had influence is factually false. -
@FabiusMaximus01 I see bona-fide isolationists–those against US armament after the fall of France–as having some influence, but v limited. -
@ChMadar US foreign policy dynamics changed after start of WW2, at least a year BEFORE fall of France, greatly weakening isolationists. -
@FabiusMaximus01 Also, many of the so-called "isolationists" were vigorous internationalists regarding economic power, diplomacy, int'l law.
