I hold no brief for Trump, GOD KNOWS. But what do all the wise and yappy pundits who worry that Trump is "getting played" by North Korea think is the price the U.S. will pay for a sub-par deal? How exactly would diplomacy materially harm everyday Americans?

Too bad the peace movement across Korea gets very little press (like
@WomenCrossDMZ). We instead hear from think tanks plugging defense middle systems (which few Koreans want).Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Nothing’s bad about a deal! It’s just that it’ll probably be a deal that favour Kim because Trump gets easily played/flatterers/manipulates to return to the original point of dispute

Mehdi, any deal would require concessions from the US. Iran experience shows political expedience of crying foul if any concession is made. So I think we need to be specific here: what kind of deal do you think would be too favorable for Kim and too unfavorable for Americans?

You mean you really don't know? You're American and you have no idea why there is so much resistance to the idea of peace in the Korean peninsula, or for that matter nearly anywhere in the rest of the world, on behalf of the US? Really?
