Is it just me - or has the apparently sensible @CLeslieMP now completely lost the plot on pay 4 senior NHS leaders? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2987218/NHS-bureaucrats-140-000-20-bosses-award-higher-salary-PM.html …
@JCHannah77 @HSJEditor maybe you think ethos of NHS shld be same as private sector.I certainly don't. Service+vocation essential. @wenurses

@HSJEditor@WeNurses if truly wish 2 cut out poor culture have to look at why leadership talent pool shallow. fish rots from head -
@JCHannah77@HSJEditor@WeNurses I just remain to be convinced that having bigger salary than recommended by@NHSEngland =a good#NHS leader -
@CLeslieMP Understood. But you'd get few docs (for example) taking up leadership roles if they were rigidly stuck to.

@HSJEditor@WeNurses I don't disagree on vocation, but exercise is academic when poor leadership is linked to mid staffs etc. -
@JCHannah77@HSJEditor@WeNurses agree. Also think us politicians to blame too. Too target driven, wrong incentives for managers. -
@CLeslieMP @NHSConfed_RobW
@JCHannah77@HSJEditor@WeNurses Hard to swallow as we cut bands 4 down to 3 and 7 to 6 to save a few grand -
@JenniferMcAnuff @CLeslieMP @NHSConfed_RobW@HSJEditor@WeNurses False economy doing so. Talent always leaves first, got to be a better way
