Is it just me - or has the apparently sensible @CLeslieMP now completely lost the plot on pay 4 senior NHS leaders? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2987218/NHS-bureaucrats-140-000-20-bosses-award-higher-salary-PM.html …

@CLeslieMP OK - but does it REALLY justify the phrase 'raking in obscene salaries?' We need sensible debate - not mud slinging
-
@HSJEditor sure, point taken. But afraid I do think that going above a recommended tax-funded salary that is already high is pretty awful. -
@CLeslieMP Is it that high for the level of responsibility taken on? Most comparisons would say not.
-
@HSJEditor @CLeslieMP McDonalds has a comparative sized workforce to the NHS CEO earns 4000% more before bonuses -
@JCHannah77@HSJEditor maybe you think ethos of NHS shld be same as private sector.I certainly don't. Service+vocation essential.@wenurses -
@CLeslieMP
@HSJEditor@WeNurses if truly wish 2 cut out poor culture have to look at why leadership talent pool shallow. fish rots from head -
@JCHannah77@HSJEditor@WeNurses I just remain to be convinced that having bigger salary than recommended by@NHSEngland =a good#NHS leader -
@CLeslieMP Understood. But you'd get few docs (for example) taking up leadership roles if they were rigidly stuck to.

@RussellDunkeld @CLeslieMP@IanLex2@HSJEditor@NHSEngland Yes, for example, @Unity_portal had to choose between "eating or heating". -
@Minh_Alexander @CLeslieMP@IanLex2@HSJEditor@NHSEngland @Unity_portal Since 2007,I've had no holiday, 'new'clothes from charity shops.
