  4. Also not a coincidence that , who until yesterday was the youngest woman in Congress, is the Republican most actively working to recruit more women. The new generation of leadership-- in both parties-- knows that any future wins will require women and young people

  5. This advice from to the new youngest women in Congress ( & ) is kind and practical: encourage younger women regardless of their politics, be a workhorse, and be nice to the Capitol Police. A very classy gesture across the aisle.

  6. There are about to be a lot of overblown "scandals" about the personal conduct of the new young lefty Congresswomen. This will allow right wingers to create the illusion of equivalence with the personal conduct of the President. Buckle in for two years of whataboutism!

  7. This is smart. is much more closely aligned with Bernie-style progressives on most policy, but it was wise and gracious of her to acknowledge HRC’s legacy. Small gestures like this go a long way toward healing 2016 wounds and moving the party forward

That’s why, whenever someone tells me they would love to vote for a woman just not THIS woman, I ask them for THREE examples of a woman they would vote for.

There’s always “another woman.” A woman you would TOTALLY VOTE FOR because you’re NOT sexist but THIS woman in front of you is just sooo [insert criticism.] You’d definitely vote for THAT woman, just not THIS woman. There’s always another woman.

Newly-minted Rep. Andy Kim (D-NJ) walked on the House floor and sat on the Republican side of the aisle until he was told he’s doing it wrong. He says he didn’t realize there’s an R side and a D side. “I saw a seat open and I went and sat down.”

Also— most millennials have some drunken college selfies or nudes or something ACTUALLY salacious lurking somewhere. As more millennials get elected, these are all going to become “so what” scandals because they’ll be so common

I keep rewatching the dancing video and can’t find the problem. She’s... having fun? Has friends? Likes music? GOP is threatened by her because she represents every demographic they struggle with (young ppl, women, ppl of color) while making Dems look fun and cool

The daughter of GOP Rep Ben Cline (she looks about 4) began clapping for Nancy Pelosi as she was nominated to be Speaker. Cline gently stopped her and then whispered a long lecture. Would love to know what he told her.

You & Tommy did a great job today. Kudos. The show really needs to be 2 hours (especially around elections!). Big fan.
