As did I. There's no way on a field trip that the Basilians would have let us get into a shouting match with a bunch of Black Hebrew Israelites and then mock a Native American elder trying to step in to calm things down. That was nearly 40 years ago.

This is simple in my mind. If either of my boys behaved like this, for any reason, they would be punished at home, not coached and raised up as a paragon of any group’s values. Where are the parents of this kid? Smarmy and disrespectful don’t fly in my house.

I old enough that if I acted liked that my Dad would have used his belt on me. I was raised to show respect to elders.
