Thanks - this in is appreciated. But I wonder, can't 2 or three editors notice the timing and say, "Hey, have you considered publishing this tomorrow?" Or, "Hey, this may put our publication in a bad light." ??

I think the problem here is that people want the NYT to 100 percent anti Trump, 24/7 and see it as a betrayal when it’s not. 100 % Trump is not the NYT’ s mission, though. It’s really the mission of ShareBlue.

Seems like that is the nature of a great paper..to have opinions of differing sides. I'm sure conservatives are just as upset with pro choice columns. For example, I like reading Brett Stephens, although I vehemently disagree with him on some issues. Bubbles are bad places.
