The ratio of answers to threats is what really matters here. It's important for a player to feel comfortable playing units and that they can provide a reasonable amount of protection. It's also important for players to have tools to remove things when they really want to

So long answer is yes, in general I think that's the direction that is beneficial for the game today, and likely changes in the future. It's a gradient on how much power we want removal vs threats to be at any given time. could change in the future

When most of the treats are payoffs? I believe so. Not only this, but this would stretch the deck build/archetype options. Diversity is not only about number of decks viable, but also the amount of different deck types being competitive.
