If argue it’s a problem in the current game that some bodies stations are X (large expanse) distance from a star/sun and it takes forever to get to. I’d love for jump beacons or variable speed super cruise to be a thing.
My argument would be simple: Variety You can go to different systems. You don't have to take a job that's too far - the distance is shown in the main game. It is all about having a choice, about freedom. I'm up for jump gates for more gameplay options. But, only in some systems.
Yes, same systems is what I was trying to imply. I agree variety is important. So is keeping the world space feeling significantly large. It's a balancing act go to far (say with 'teleportation') and you'd trivialize the universe and it would feel too small.
