Why is this show called The Witcher when it’s so obviously about all these RAD WOMEN? Is it kinda like Lord of the Rings?

I plan on playing after I watch. Is the combat rough?
It’s really bad with mouse keyboard IMO. Plugging in a controller makes a world of difference! That’s what brought me back to playing.

I have it on PC but thinking about getting it for the PlayStation.
