Serious question: Why not just let people be excited about things? If someone says "I enjoyed X" it's really not necessary to reply with "Well, I did not enjoy X" - what is the outcome you are trying to achieve?

Most people did. Even film critics who hate sci-fi and star wars loved it. It's in the top three most critically acclaimed Star Wars films.

It's fine not to like it, but you should at least be aware what a minority view you have is, even if it is a very loud one. Not because it makes you wrong, but because maybe then you can have empathy towards those who love it.
