Serious question: Why not just let people be excited about things? If someone says "I enjoyed X" it's really not necessary to reply with "Well, I did not enjoy X" - what is the outcome you are trying to achieve?
I'm happy someone did. I was not one of those people. I enjoyed aspects of it but ultimately it was IMO very flawed to the point it left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope RoS can recover from TLJ but I have my doubts.

It had flaws but not in its execution. I mean, director of Knives Out acquits themselves spectacularly@ first actual experience of TLJ. The action,emotions were on point as were the cast. Most people did. Even film critics who hate sci-fi and star wars loved it. It's in the top three most critically acclaimed Star Wars films.

It's fine not to like it, but you should at least be aware what a minority view you have is, even if it is a very loud one. Not because it makes you wrong, but because maybe then you can have empathy towards those who love it.
