No, that is not false. Way back in the day, the "advice and consent" was perfunctory for court picks, and mostly done by acclamation. No SCOTUS nominee appeared before the Senate until 1925.... so there is that....

The fact is Grassley owes her nothing, they should just vote. And the FBI has no stake in this whatsoever, that's a local issue.

He's explaining there is a process to follow. And it begins with the Senate. One does not place the cart before the horse. If she's SERIOUS about finding justice for what happened to her, she needs to follow the proper procedures to get to that justice. ( good reporting Chad )
