From colleague Connor Marley. Feinstein on Ford. Says Ford "is a woman that has been, I think, profoundly impacted, on this..I can't say that everything is truthful. I don't know."

She doesn’t know. Of course she knows. If she had thought this claim of Ford’s were true she would have released it when she received it months ago. She knows her voters will follow any thing she says. They have to in order to keep the “goodies” coming. They have sold their souls

I think they overestimated Ford's ability to go before the committee and lie and they also thought they could delay everything and run out the clock. They were really counting on a long FBI investigation.

Even a bad attorney will not let her take the stand and commit perjury and that is what she would do. Judge Kavanaugh did a smart move by hiring a good defamation of character attorney. Hopefully he sues Diane and the Dems. I wish Justice Thomas had done that

Dems phase 2 will be to find another woman or two or three to come out and accuse also. Repubs must see through this subterfuge and call the role.

If Ford is truthful, it is not she nor Feinstein responsible for "ruining" anyone's reputation or career. Actions have consequences. We don't know who is telling the truth and who is lying yet.

That's not true. Her attorney said she is more than willing to speak under oath. That doesn't mean the terms offered to her (public hearing, no FBI investigation for background, no other witnesses) are okay with her.

They offered both public and private under oath hearings. Fbi has already stated they will not investigate. When making an allegation of this kind in a circumstance of this magnitude, it is your duty to testify.

"Fbi has already stated they will not investigate." This is not true. That is what Trump said today, and it was a lie. Trump needs to direct them to reopen the investigation, they cannot do so on their own.

You're the one who is misinformed. This would not be a criminal investigation. The FBI does routine background investigations on SCOTUS nominees. They already concluded their one on Kavanaugh. In 1991 they re-opened the investigation on Thomas after Anita Hill came forward.

The guy is a true conservative. The other side hates it. He has droves of people from all persuasions that have known him his all life, all saying what a rare and noble man he is. Now, the other side finds a fly in the ointment. Whether they put it there is unknown. #SMH

And no, he actually doesn’t have that many people ready to testify for him... Still, this division is not the way. He should bow down and let the place to someone both party likes. But I think a president is building on division and hate right now. And that’s not healthy.

Democracy works only when we accept that we’re in this together. We can’t just ask, “Am I better off than I was four years ago?” We have to ask, “Are we better off? Are we as a country better, stronger, and fairer?” Ultimately, healing our country will come down to each of us.
