What's wrong with it? He knows the law and he is right to ask why he is being detained. This is a lesson for anyone that gets stopped especially people of color. I don't have to give them my name and I don't have to give them my phone. Get a search warrant.

Replying to @GehaniNeil @CommonSense415_ and
We get that he is not a fan of the cops. Most people of color, particularly blacks, are not fond of them either. They have a job to do, they are needed. We do need to rethink what policing should be going forward. People are informed by their lived experience.

This is anecdotal to me, but as a former Civic Center resident, I can say that nearly all my neighbors (most of whom were minorities) had a good relationship w/ SFPD. This is empirical to the US, but 81% of black Americans don't want less police.https://www.newsweek.com/81-black-americans-dont-want-less-police-presence-despite-protestssome-want-more-cops-poll-1523093 …

Right, it's not about no police. It's about: "the biggest racial gaps were concerning police fairness and perceived bias. Just 18 percent of Black Americans said they felt "very confident" that local police would treat them with courtesy and respect during an interaction"
