And we all know these same folks who pad their syllabi with our work wouldn’t be willing to give us a job, let alone leave (or retire from) their own. I saw this prominently in gender studies.

Tell me about gender studies...I started post PhD lectureship in gender studies...as was my last role... the field, in my view, is still struggling with intersectionality

I completely agree with you (phys. geographer) about qualifications. My question is for someone like me (lecturer) that gets assigned a class (or a grad student) completely at the last minute and wants to decolonize the material, are there resources? B/c sadly I see this a lot

This happens when universities talk but don't do the walk..no buy-in to decoloniality hence lack of appropriate resources, eg knowledges, texts, etc and 1 or 2 colleagues are left to develop teaching and learning resources. Often left to early career scholars...1/2
