Reading is now a superpower

When our boys were young they had quiet time every night in their rooms to read before going to bed. They are 26, 23 and 20 and all still love to read. It makes me happy when they suggest books to me. They still had screen time but we made reading a priority.

I read that many COLLEGE professors had to simplify the curriculum. Many students had never read an entire book. Instead of books, they assign passages/articles. Students can't handle high volume reading. Every job I've had requires huge amounts of reading...& comprehension.

I just finished Diana West's new book "The Red Thread", about the ideology behind SPYGATE. I highly recommend this and her other book American Betrayal. Right now I am reading "The Brother's", by Steven Kinzer, about the Dulles Bros. What are you reading right now?

@audible_com is where it’s at for me but there is nothing like the smell of a book or seeing the words come to life.

About every month or so, I go and get lost in Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon. One of the only remaining good things about this city. If you’ve never been, you need to go.

Reading isn't fun. It's a chore for me. I get stressed out reading. But I still do it because I come out a better person at the end of the day.

I read everyday. 3 to 4 books currently. I never know what subject I'm in the mood for plus I read you and others multiple times a day. I have actual books too. Can't stand the other forms unless of course I crave real news and the internet so far is the best place to read it.

There’s a great Used Book/dvd store on Edward St (Younge & Dundas) in Toronto called BMV. I Always check it out when in town http://www.bmvbooks.com 

I just listen to audiobooks. I read a couple dozen books as a kid but now i want to coserve time

I read mostly classics. My daughter only the classics. No modern junk , no teen books. If its not a classic its off limits.

I don't love reading books but love listening to audio books. Makes the commute to/from work far more tolerable.

Some read, some don’t. My wife reads all the time. I haven’t read a book in 40 years. Im a bullet point kind of guy.

I go through about a dozen a year, mostly science fiction but some non-fiction here and there. I wouldn't call myself avid but most of my friends don't read books at all so they might have a different opinion.
