    #NC09 2016 - 58.2% Republican / 41.8% Democrat 2018 - 49.3% Republican / 48.9% Democrat 2019 special election - 50.7% Republican / 48.6% Democrat Hard to see how tonight's close win gives GOP and Trump anything but indigestion.

2016: 193,452 R votes (most votes obviously because Trump was on the ballot) 2018: 164,969 R votes 2019: 94,984 R votes 2020: see 2016 Special elections are notoriously low voter turn out. This win is legit.

I am here and had the privilege of voting for Dan Bishop today. NC is a purple state with a Dem Governor. A couple of decades ago, the powers that be gave the state over to liberal banks. It’s a wonder we aren’t blue. But we’re fighting. I think a little congrats are in order.

We need help and Trump is giving us the help. Had he not had the rally here yesterday, we would not have won. We’re handing on by a thread. We need help, not ridicule.

Mike #NC09 was redrawn in 2017. Election results from years prior to 2017 are irrelevant.

How much outside money did the GOP spend? I read the DNC dropped over $8 million on this race...

Trump wasn’t on the ticket tonight. He’s a big boost.

How many ppl really turn out in special elections? (33%) Media will spin the numbers and try to make a larger narrative, but a W is a W.

The dems spent double the money. This isn’t that hard.

$8 million spend by Dems on a Rep seat in an off year... it's a bigger win than the number if you look at previous efforts and budgets. Bishop is allied with Freedom caucus so RINOs would rather see a dem = not voting.

In 2016 there was a far less attractive candidate on the ballot there - Hillary. People voting then that didn't vote today. Not real hard to understand.
