The problem isn’t solely on the NCAA. NFL & NFLPA are also a major contributing factor. To get a better result for the players you need to work both ends of problem.

Pretty sure you’ll scoff at this But what if the xfl becomes not only a minor league for nfl (less likely to happen) But if they go after kids 18-21/22 who don’t want to go to school on a scholarship or can’t afford it and will pay them Then they can still go to the draft

The quality of football would be higher than college and the revenue would be vastly lower. The brand is 90+% of the value. Minor league would give kids small money & no education. Draft eligibility for star underclassmen would be a bigger step in right direction.
