Considering there really aren't any actual refugees that seems prudent. Sure, there's plenty of people who are economic refugees who want to come, but is there really a genuine refugee facing death in a war torn country trying to get to the nearest safe country? The USA?

Would cuts be necessary if we stopped the miss-labeling of economic migrants as refugees? I thought that legal trickery might end up giving true refugees the shaft some day.

Until we get a grip on immigration, chain migration, the southern border, visas and overstays, everything should be shut down and each problem dealt with first. then, and only then should any immigration take place...
