Same thing with YouTube. Searching for an amazing old independent news video will now lead you to CNN?? Amazingly boots.

I find Amazon to be difficult to search for anything. You can search red denim bag and you’ll get blue fur rugs, most of them sponsored results. Very frustrating!

I started buying most of my reading material at antique stores a few years back. My favorites are a little 10 book series from 1915 on mental efficiency and self mastery. You’d enjoy it. Amazon is like that Naisbitt quote, drowning in information, but starved for knowledge.pic.twitter.com/Qk6SvAu2qd

I’ve enjoyed several books you have suggested on here. When I read a history book, I usually take the time to look at the footnotes and sources.

I never use amazon to browse for new books... I used good reads to search by genre or subject matter and go through the reviews.

I research elsewhere, then only use Amazon to search for specific titles.

It’s a mess. Even worse looking for a good Kindle edition of a classic book.

When AmmoZahn declared jihad against Hachette AUTHORS in 2014, they unintentionally revealed to the world just how "weaponized" their search AlGoreRythm was. Search is still aimed at punishing 'enemies', not making money

Google is the same. As ad will appear right above the organic link to the same web site.

Amazon is a last resort for me. Can't justify giving Bezos one red cent, if I can avoid it.

http://Abebooks.com is the place to find books cheap. I'm not a shill for them. In my experience, they have lots of books at a good price.

Amazon is actually pretty bad, recommendation-wise. They optimized the selling, not the discovery. I built my own site http://BookDetective.net . Free to use.

I get Hamilton Books catalog in the mail. I browse that bc it has 1-2 sentence summaries of the books. If book interests me, I see if my public library has a copy. If I like the book, I'll purchase it off Hamilton.

Just get to work on “Human Action”. That could keep you busy for six months.
