Hard to believe that Winklevoss twins didn't pay the author of Bitcoin Billionaires. The fawning and scenes of partying were eye rolling. Weighed down what could have been a great book. Banking on Bitcoin is better overview of the crypto revolution. https://amzn.to/34jgTfy

This is right. Being forced to read a classic - even forced by yourself! - doesn’t work if the spark that ignites your interest isn’t there.

"There is nothing new, except what has been forgotten" I say start with the classics. Form a solid base of knowledge that's been around forever. Then when you read widely it's easier to discern when something is a tired rehash (waste of time) or an interesting new perspective.

reading broadly helps with pattern recognition (among many other things), but diving deep on certain subjects from time to time is also important.

This is so me. I’m an eclectic reader. I also would unlike everything on my Facebook page to the point Facebook didn’t know what to show me. Took me 4 days one time. Then searched my topic and liked some pages and Facebook showed me the rest.

It’s better to read books about history so you don’t make the same mistakes over again

I have also noticed with certain books I will have a hard time reading if it is not the proper time to read it.

Every book provides incite into something & the seemingly insignificant may prove invaluable at some future occasion; you just need to decide if it is worth your time/effort & how well rounded of a life you want for yourself. Knowledge is only wasted when it is ignored

Question: is it better to read indiscriminately hundreds of books, of which only a few are literary classics. Or to devote oneself to only reading the classics of philosophy, history, and so on...
This book explores the life of Adam and Eve, from creation to fall from grace. It's packed with very interesting lessons for everyone.
