Ha ! Many of those send their kids to private schools anyway. My kids are in & went through the public school system & we are lucky that they still had G&T and have specialized high schools that high performing students can attend and not be dragged down.

It would have been an absolute disaster otherwise. And I can tell you from experience (being involved w/ HS parent assoc.) that a vast majority of parents all over NYC in the public school system want G&T and hate what DeBlasio & Carranza are advocating. Check out
