        I live in Rio de Janeiro, and even so, in no way I could even consider sleeping in a temperature greater than 70F.

        Yeah. this counts a lot. But even on drier climates in other regions in Brasil, I can't sleep with such high temps.

        75 during the day. 68-70 to sleep. If I never wanted to sleep again, 82 degrees would be a good temp at night.

        No AC and house stays at 82 even with current heat index of 105 in Midwestern city. 1890s home with deep porch, high ceilings, and big trees. Shut the house up all day, open at night. Run a fan or two. You get used to it.

        In AZ you don’t have to set it like in the Mideast. 78 during the day, 76 at night. Back in Chicago it would have been 68 day and 66 night. Humidity makes a big difference
