It’s not hate speech, though. It’s advocating (using their US clout/platform) to stump for the erasure on Israel.

They can talk smack about Israel all day while on American soil, but Israelis have the right to choose who comes into their country & people who want them annihilated just don’t pass muster.

They don't recognize Israel's right to exist. Their itinerary was to Palestinian controlled areas. They didn't even recognize Israel on their letter to request entry. Their visit was going to be used for pure propaganda against Israel.

I hate "hate speech" laws too, but I support anti-BDS legislation. Isreal has the right to exclude foreigners who try to gin up hatred of the nation-state and violence against their citizens.

P.S. I also believe America should have their own anti-sedition/incitement laws. Any individual and organization that tries to incite hatred and violence against America and Americans should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

A large portion of Baptist’s that I know consider themselves dispensationalists and by proxy believe that Israel is a sacred people and country that should be worshipped as a special nation with no regard for right or wrong.

These people are conservative by every metric except for their worship of Israel.

I'm not convinced that a philosophical position that could be legislated into action is "speech."

I'm definitely in favor of letting other countries we otherwise get along with do their thing.

They aren't Citizens Mike. Nations are free to open the door to whomever they want or not. Conservatives don't believe in Nationhood now?

Let me put it this way. If someone wanted to come to america but they repeatedly said "death to america" "I wish America was wiped off the earth" I'd be okay saying you cant come hang out with us. No law saying we have to let you in.

That's a principle position that I respect, but that's also a border issue. If we're going there, we should also more easily open our borders to people hating the U.S/WEST in the name of free speech.

US already does

Has Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ever been a state guest of the US? Would he be welcome? Refusing a foreign leader who's publicly called for your nation's demise isn't really about hate speech.
