That’s why I left Conservatism fifteen years ago. I had some recent hope, but nothing has changed. Conservative values painted onto a left wing framework.

It is very simple to understand in a polarized country like this. It is a race to the bottom to spend what's left before the other side those. Personally, I say spend away because when the Communists get power again they won't be able to give out a nickel.

I'm approaching full Collapsitarian. Just let it burn now while we still have the chance to rebuild. The higher we go, the worse the inevitable fall will be.

What's the fix, Mike? I mean obviously, the fix is to spend less money, but how do we do that and still accomplish things that need to happen?

if republicans cut the budget when in power, it will only be their fat. Dems won't sign off on cutting democrat programs. Only possible when governing with super majority...

Do we make a higher percentage back by investing the money in our economy than we pay in interest on the deficit? Maybe the deficit is a fake problem that sounds bad because of risk + a home financing perspective on borrowing that most people share.
