Yes because as a consumer I don't want to pay the cost of advertising which is imputed in the cost of the drugs.

If they can stop tobacco and alcohol advertising, I don't see why not.

Only the US and New Zealand have direct to consumer advertising. Only the US have middlemen such as PBMs in healthcare.

That is a direct cause of escalating drug prices. Does anyone know how much it cost to run a four page ad in people magazine? Wasting our money.

50/50: DTC provides patients with newer drugs that may have better outcomes/tolerability. DTC also directs patients to ask for that drug but then get stuck with a huge out of pocket/deductible and corruption by providers from big pharma.

They should not. They should ban lobbyists though. Passing laws to require forced vaccinations is where I draw the line. I think this one issue is going to start a civil war.

A lot of "I'm for free speech, but..." answers. If you can't say yes because doesn't feel right, you're not really for free speech.

Remember this commercial? It wouldn't be legal for them to run now. Big Parma birthed the "chemical imbalance" myth and were forced to stop but the lie was already out there. Oh, and it's "not habit forming..." Talk about a dirty indsutry...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twhvtzd6gXA …

Its not so much that. Its the ad revenue to the networks creating bias in coverage. The more they pay for advertisments, the less likely anything negative will be said.
