Not covering mass shootings on national television would also take the politics out of them too which would be pretty awesome. Something tells me if their is no political advantage derived from covering it these shootings will do down.

None of them should be national news. They are local stories, not national. They just generate hysteria among the easily manipulated and are direct contributors to subsequent violence. This goes for a ton of stories, but this sort of thing in particular needs to stop.

It makes sense to stop giving fame to these individuals. Mass shootings skyrocketed during Obama's terms. This is possibly due to him giving more attention to them than any previous President, and look at how many mass shootings happened during his terms in comparison to others.
