National concealed carry is better wording. But situational awareness can increase your chances of surviving such an event. I’d much rather be aware of my surroundings and escape but have a weapon as a last resort.

I would much rather have the option of defending myself and my family than having to wait for the LEOs to show up. The exit goes through me in that situation.

I preach situational awareness all day. A needed skill so many are lacking. Practice it each day with mundane tasks and trips. When you need it, it’ll be 2nd nature. Don’t be the wounded gazelle in the herd.
