You get free college while you're in and if you get out honorably. 4 years you could have free college (towards a masters if you use free college while you're in) and save 20-30k.
-
I know! My USAF tech training was so good, GE recruited me and paid for my college to boot (went evenings, but hey - nice salary and free college). And, my AF service was living in England for 3 yrs... No Brainer -

Find an apprenticeship through https://www.apprenticeship.gov/ and develop a skill. We need less writers and youtube personalities and more people with hard skills.

#LearnaTrade -
never seen a job posting like that in my city (Vancouver bc) I’d love to be proven wrong about it
-
Don’t know about V,Bc but google “construction worker demand USA” for the stats & I am talking competent skilled labor, not helpers, who can make good money.

I bought my first house at 19 yrs old with my fiancé’s “engagement ring” savings. I didn’t drink and I studied while raising my kids. I became an Invest/Rep/Banker starting as a part time Teller. JPMorgan Chase paid to educate/license me. Hard work and delayed gratification

Focus on something you love and seek out a certification track. Most careers can bypass a degree all together (Especially true in IT/Software Development/Engineering, as I am a prime example). A Linux certification from LPIC is $200 for study material and $400 for testing.
