Once Tom Cruise went above being a hired gun for AAA movies, you saw that he wants to make action films that deliver. We didn't know who Mel Gibson really was until Braveheart...Passion of the Christ...Apocalypto. Before that, it's a job. Will Smith is still an employee.

Tbh I can’t think of a single bad movie Tom cruise has ever made. Literally... some I didn’t like as much as others but none that I’d call bad. I feel weird about this thought, nobody can be that good, I must be missing or have not seen some. Talented dude tho
