I didn't attend this event, so no criticism from me.
I have noticed that people who weren't around in 2015-2016 are rushing to the head of the line to take over the populist and nationalist movement that elected Trump.

It is the same thing that happened to the Taxed Enough Already Party. RNC operatives co-opted the movement and moved it back to the so-called 'center'. Now comes the call to watch and wait.
