Just took my first unassisted bath since the accident 6 weeks ago today. Gratitude for small things these days. My children aren’t orphans. Only my leg was broken; I’m not permanently injured. I can bathe myself again. It’s hard to focus on these things now. Grief dominates.

Boy, I know how you feel. Had a fall and badly broke left arm this winter. Meds, then kidney infections, then antibiotic led to C-dif/hospital. Returning to normal, but was glad husband put safety bars in shower. Still slow going, but better week by week. Best to you.
