Heck if they make back half of these tips (most fees are “only” 40%, but this is before costs) that’s 1.50$ per transaction, which could add up. And more importantly, many types of class actions don’t seek damages at all but an injunction so the company can’t do that any more
I’d be pretty sure there is an arbitration clause with class action waiver when customers sign up and when drivers sign up. And those are fully enforceable as a matter of federal law. Thank the Supreme Court (5-4 decision) and AT&T for litigating issue and screwing consumers etc
