I have family in Venezuela and I hate every single person in Hollywood or politics who always downplays the situation there because they know nothing about their real struggle and how dehumanized people live in Venezuela. Not knowing if the next day they’ll have food to eat.

I’m on board with nationalizing resources, but Venezuela isn’t the model. Norway is.
-
The difference between what Venezuela did and what we do, is that we allow private organizations to extract the resources and take a piece of the profits. As far as I know Venezuela wanted the government to do everything.

Several. We do not frown upon people trying to make money. :P And we have a conservative government right now.
-
Norway is very homogeneous, 79% Christian, 95% white, 83% Norwegian descendants and only a population of 5.3 million people. Their government can accomplish good things when everyone has similar goals/beliefs. Same with other Nordic nations. That’s what makes them successful.

Hugo Chavez’s daughters, neither of whom live in Venezuela, are worth approximately 4 billion dollars. Marxist socialism worked well for the Chavez family.

The oil belongs to the people who own the land and have the mineral rights to that land. It’s Called capitalism, it’s called freedom, it’s called America.

Socialists always say "they robbed us." What happened in reality is that they were given the controls, and then whatever they were in charge of failed under their watch. Venezuela's oil reserves didn't disappear. The oil EQUIPMENT just went to ruins under socialist management.
