why thewelfare numbers ballooned as well. He is just doing what any business will do if the Gov implements the $15 min as law. Businesses will cut their work force and hours significantly. Think lines at stores suck now

I manage an Independent grocery store here in WV. Minimum wage here is $8.75. $15 per hour would almost double my payroll and become 20%+ of my weekly sales. A Walmart or Kroger could absorb the cost. An Independent will be out of business.

I worked at a big box retail store that is going to raise starting pay to $15.00 a hour in a few years. One of the first things they did was start cutting workers hours. This also took them below 30 hours and now they are not eligible for full time benefits.
