The media is lying. The Ilhan Omar brother story hasn’t been debunked. Credible evidence including public marriage records suggests it’s true. In lawyers terms, the story is proven by a “preponderance of the evidence.”

I was never an Obama "birther," and I ignored the Ilhan Omar brother claim for months as it struck me as a baseless smear. (Check my timeline, I was not talking about this.)
However the public records @realDSteinberg are compelling, and his arguments haven't been refuted.

You can *honestly* say that you don't find the evidence proving Ilhan Omar married her brother conclusive beyond a reasonable doubt. You *cannot* honestly call the story debunked. The Daily Beast wrote, "the completely unproven idea that she married her brother is based entirely on a single, anonymous, unsourced allegation initially made on an obscure internet forum." Fact-check: False. There are public marriage records. The Daily Beast ignores them.
Which official body would investigate it, why would the investigate it and have they made any statement regarding the investigation or lack thereof?
