I’ve been reading a lot of @pulte / #TwitterPhilanthropy and many of the cases are intractable and hard.
One father has a daughter with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both parents work. The medications are expensive. Medical bills pile one, wages get garnished. Mortgage default.

These are the kind of ideas people should be coming up with re: healthcare. “Those credit cards that roundup and send to a fund? Make a card that does this. People can opt in for a tax rebate. All their card purchases round up and go to desperate families in need.”pic.twitter.com/sLouoEsZDJ

Do you think part of the problem is that there are too many people on the planet? We are trying to sustain a quality of life that isn't real - it's propped up by pesticides, antibiotics, chemicals and preservatives in the things we digest.
-
Girl get out of California. Or go to farmers markets. Food isn't the problem. Its consumption. Those same operations can produce non poisonous for a little more. They choose not to. So don't buy it. I know it's hard to make the masses understand, but one at a time works.
-
Lol I'd love to!! And agreed, if you know how to choose food and are willing to cook at home, it's not hard to make better choices. I'm talking on a mass production scale.
-
The scariest thing in the grocery store is a chicken breast the size of a human breast. People don't even question that.
-
Lolol and you just got every woman who reads that to look down her shirt right now
I never thought about that before!! Great. Ugh. I need to move to Montana and get a farm.

Its the chemicals that are being added to our food. Look at the rate of Celiacs. It’s getting out of control. What are they putting in wheat?

Thank you for shining a light on this Mike, I serve as pastor of two rural churches & the health decisions of people in Appalachia are very limited. Most are conservative but not all, but regardless tough decisions have to be made everyday & we need to do better as a whole

Ways to guide the poor into better diets aren't popular: like don't allow food stamps to be used on processed foods. Insurance should not have to cover everything. You can have cheaper policies that only cover catastrophic accidents/illnesses and 1 checkup. Compromises are needed

Illegal immigration good for US capital bad for US labor. Thats why Democrat immigration policy is hilarious. And they're supposedly the party for the working class.

You nailed it with processed/cheap foods... I think this is the root cause of many health problems

People aren’t only eating the wrong foods, they are over eating. This is the root of the problem. My opinion...eat less, eat red meat, eggs and some vegetables. People know they need to do this and they CAN afford it but choose not to. Rich people are unhealthy too.

You know what I've discovered, dry foods stretch your buck. Rice, pasta, Quinoa, beans, and if you want veggies, buy a big bag of frozen ones. You'll eat for hella cheap and pretty healthy for a long time.
-
I love, love, love rice. I've fallen in love with Basmati Rice. Rice has always been a family staple. California, the veggie prices are usually cheaper than the bags of frozen ones, at the stores I shop at. A lot of people are tired when they get home from work. Kids like junk.
-
I just moved out of Cali and yes, fresh veggies are cheaper there. But, I like the frozen ones because you can eat them at your leisure. I miss Cali, especially the avocados, but not the gas prices or taxes.
