What’s the solution to rising healthcare costs. “Pay for everything,” isn’t sustainable especially with the demand to pay for everyone who makes it past the border. Good people are struggling and there’s no discernible solution.

Even the left uses the poor as a punchline, calling people “hicks.”
Some have said that the culture wars are so brutal because we’ve given up on the hard problems. What do you tell a dad who works, his wife works, and they are going to lose their home because their daughter has an auto-immune disease?
Legitimate compassion is rare. Liberal media trafficks in outrage. Conservatives often glib, saying things like, “Well you should have saved up more money,” as if a child getting an auto-immune condition is a luxury expense.

There is an has to be a third way between childish liberalism (pay for it all, even everyone who can get past the border) and heartless conservatives (lol you should’ve saved up for that cancer medication).
People are working hard but wages are low so most people eat cheap processed food, which leads to even more sickness and auto-immune diseases, and the cycle continues, and it’s only going to get worse until we grow up and face it.

I was a flyover kid in an auto plant town. Democrats used to speak to those kinds of people. Those days are long gone.
Unfortunately it’s all by design. Things will change only when we get out of the corrupt two party system.
Even the middle class have problems. What needs to be changed is patient liability. A patient gets hit 3 times, deductible, copay and coinsurance. Ridiculous, saddle the healing patient with all costs up until a $10k deductible is met. We need health INSURANCE REFORM!!
Single mom who’s disabled and late on rent because 300 short due to insurance. 10 days late and got a 3 day notice. Can’t find any help. There’s a lot of ppl out there like that unfortunately.
The left and mainstream “everything” have no real interest in the poor. If they did, they would DO something, anything to help them. Instead, they hide behind their support for government programs to help the poor. The hypocrisy is stunning.

Yes .@Pute's work about the poor is realistic. Our Vet family live in a converted garage, 20 year old car, and avoid doctors and dentists for lack of $$.
