Depends on what you are trying to achieve. 1-1.5g per pound is sufficient if trying to build mass. Closer to 1 for fitness/crossfit type training. Currently consuming about 350g a day.

Also, for most people anyways, supplements are a wast of money unless you plan to compete. My diet is crap although I do make sure I get my protein. Focus in the gym is key. I've lifted on and off my whole life and reached a 300 plus bench every time.

Only sups I’ve ever taken and noticed any results was protein powder and creatine some I’m obligated to agree.
