Great songwriters. Every member had hits. Arguably the greatest guitarist and singer of all time. Not many better live. Amazingly found Lambert who holds his own. Can’t think of a better band.

Lambert is a showman but Marc Martel has the voice!
-
He's got a boring copy of the voice of Freddie Mercury. No power or range...

@INXS and I will die on that hill -
Is INXS in the Rock HOF ? Because they absolutely should be...

I think INXS really didn’t get a chance to hit their stride. Who knows what another ten years would have yielded? RIP Michael.
-
Yes, I agree completely. We have seen several bands continue on through their 40s and 50s with amazing results. Also, Michael's TBI greatly shifted his mindset, and I have to believe INXS's music as a result.

I think Queen was on par with the greats such as Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and groups such as Kansas. They pioneered their own sound and played what they wanted. Great bands don’t follow the status quo, don’t follow norms, break barriers. IMO groups today all sound alike and look for$

Freddie was awesome, top 2 or 3 frontman for sure, but band overall was good, not great!
-
You summed it pretty well. They packaged a unique sound with soul that appealed to the masses.

Sorry but Freddie was probably the best rock vocalist of all time. The talent in the group was abundant, but the chemistry combined with the Mercury factor is unreproducible. He was all about the voice, and a rare superstar.
