Yes @danieldennett book, Consciousness Explained actually has a cameo in Sanction. The fact that some things need to be heard (not merely thought) to reach the conscious mind is central to the plot. Julian Janyes’ Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind too

I never did - then again, I am currently training and tweaking the backprop logic for the AI “god” of the MMORPG world we (it an I) are creating. 
Smoke some DMT and understand reality is truly an illusion. Watch the veil be lifted, see the other side. Much more real than what we currently perceive as, "Real". Must break thru tho.
I have no knowledge of AI. In simple forms is it something we really need to worry about?

Too much soft talking and whispers along with scifi dialogue make this a very difficult show to follow. The night time city scapes are almost all Blade Runner homages. We gave up after 2 episodes to find more entertainment and identity themes in "The Counterpart".
