I've learned that when you go to networking events, make it more about the person you're talking to instead of yourself, and things get way easier. No one cares about your new job or cats...they want to talk about themselves. Get interested. Ask questions. Then the fun starts :)

This is not true. 80% of millionaires are first generation millionaires. Networking is important however.
